  • Get Pampered at a Luxury Spa

There’s a certain magic in stepping away from the rush of daily life and into a space where every moment is devoted to your well-being. A luxury spa offers more than treatments—it’s an invitation to slow down, let go, and allow your body and mind to find their natural rhythm again. Picture yourself wrapped in the scent of local botanicals, the gentle rhythm of an expert massage easing every muscle, or the glow that follows a skin-reviving facial. Between treatments, sip herbal tea in a sunlit lounge, drift in a warm pool, or simply breathe in the stillness. A spa retreat is more than pampering—it’s a full-body reset that sends you home restored and ready to step back into life with ease. Below are two Four Seasons properties celebrated for delivering some of the most exceptional spa experiences in the world. Both are sanctuaries where expert care, inspired settings, and signature Four Seasons service come together to redefine what wellness can feel like. STAY #1: Four Seasons Sensei (Adults only) Tucked into the misty highlands of Lānaʻi, Sensei Lānaʻi isn’t your typical wellness retreat. It’s adults-only, deeply serene, and quietly extraordinary. This is where the island’s natural calm meets a data-backed, deeply personal approach to well-being—with the polish you'd expect from Four Seasons, and then some. The philosophy here is simple but smart: Move, Nourish, Rest. It’s called the Sensei Way, and it’s all grounded in science, guided by technology, and tailored entirely to you. Think Japanese ryokan meets Hawaiian sanctuary. Private spa hales. Soaking tubs inspired by traditional onsen. Sculpture gardens that feel like they’ve been placed just for you. This is spa life reimagined—elevated, intentional, and blissfully off the radar. Spa Offerings Your journey begins before you even arrive. A pre-stay consultation helps shape every session around you —from movement coaching and biomarker reviews to therapies that follow your rhythm and goals. Each element is guided by the Move, Nourish, and Rest philosophy. At Sensei, the spa menu stretches as wide as the Pacific. Rooted in Japanese precision and Hawaiian ease, every offering is designed to restore, rebalance, and reconnect—body to mind, and guest to place. Here's just a glimpse of what awaits: Move: Aquatic Bodywork & Massage Step into warm, open air and float effortlessly in your private hale pool. Your practitioner meets you there, guiding your body through fluid, intuitive stretches—an elegant blend of massage, shiatsu, and joint release. When you're ready to return to land, a 60-minute full-body massage awaits, grounding the weightlessness into deep, lasting calm. Lomi Lomi Massage Let the wisdom of generations move through you. This is Lomi Lomi—the ancient Hawaiian art of healing touch. Rhythmic strokes, breathwork, and botanical aromatherapy come together to stir the body’s natural rhythm and bring renewal from within. Four Hands in Harmony Two therapists. One seamless rhythm. Feel stress unravel as four synchronized hands move across your body like a choreographed flow—melting tension, recalibrating balance, and reintroducing you to a quieter, more centered self. Treatments take place in secluded, private hale—open-air structures with soaking pools, steam showers, and infrared saunas. Sensei’s wellness offerings reach beyond treatments. Daily classes may include aerial yoga, guided forest bathing, tai chi, meditation, and fitness. Enrich your experience with private wellness consultations, personalized lectures, and island excursions. STAY: The Ranch at Rock Creek About the Ranch Secluded in one of Montana’s most pristine valleys, The Ranch at Rock Creek’s 19th-century homestead thrives in perfect balance with its diverse ecosystem. The Ranch’s award-winning hospitality is rooted in an all-inclusive experience, allowing guests to leave their wallets behind and roam freely across five majestic mountain peaks. Here, nature offers the soundtrack, and the legendary West offers the inspiration — serene, rugged, and unforgettable. Lodging Options Whether you crave the charm of a luxury canvas cabin, the rustic elegance of a private log home, or the spacious comfort of a family cottage, The Ranch offers a range of accommodations to suit every adventurer. Think king beds, private decks, cozy fireplaces, and expansive views — all crafted for comfort without sacrificing the spirit of the wild. From intimate escapes for two to sprawling houses built for a crowd, you'll sleep as well as you ride. Dining Options Dining at The Ranch is anything but ordinary — it’s an experience woven from fire, flavor, and Montana charm. Enjoy multi-course feasts and wine pairings in the Granite Lodge’s refined dining room or gather for wood-fired dinners under the open sky at the Flagstone. For something more rustic, the Blue Canteen dishes out glamping-style breakfasts and s'mores by a wood stove, while the Buckle Barn hosts seasonal celebrations with live music and dancing on fir floors. Wake up early for a cowboy breakfast at Piney Pond with Dutch oven classics and panoramic mountain views, then wind down with a glass of whiskey or a bottle from the Silver Dollar Saloon’s deep wine cellar. Here, every meal is a taste of the West. Other Amenities Reconnect with the land and yourself at The Spa at Rock Creek, where wild-inspired treatments tap into Montana’s natural rhythms. Customized therapies, a cedar sauna, and serene relaxation spaces amplify the restorative power of the surroundings. For those looking to balance adventure with fitness, a year-round gym offers everything needed to keep your routine sharp — from weight training to yoga — all set against the backdrop of Big Sky Country.   ACTIVITIES: Channel Your Inner Rancher Ride Along with a Rancher This isn’t a petting zoo. Ride along with a working rancher and get a front-row seat to the grit and grind it takes to run a real livestock operation. This hands-on experience dives deep into the daily care of the herds and the community behind sustainable food production. Each day’s tasks shape the adventure — one morning might mean bouncing across rugged pastures in a UTV to check cattle, another could have you prepping feed for the horse herd or working young stock in the arena. Skilled riders? Saddle up and move cattle, sort breeding groups, and get your hands dirty with real-deal ranch operations. Learn Valuable Frontier Skills Leave the city limits behind and reconnect with your inner frontiersman — or frontierswoman. The Ranch’s expert EMTs and seasoned outdoorsmen teach the hard skills you’ll need to survive a night in the wild. Trade creature comforts for a mountainside classroom where you’ll dive into a crash course in frontier survival. After a briefing on first aid and essential gear, you’ll be tasked with building your own shelter, hunting down safe water sources, and setting snares for small game. To cap it off, you’ll learn to spark a fire using several time-tested methods — because out here, there’s no app for survival. Ranch Rodeo Education & Show Forget the glitz of PRCA rodeos — this is ranch rodeo, where real-life ranch hands saddle up and compete for bragging rights, not prize money. Events mirror the no-frills, high-skill tasks ranchers tackle daily, using the same gear they rely on to get the job done. Before the Tuesday night showdown, seasoned wranglers lead an insider tour, sharing the gritty history of rodeo culture and its deep roots in ranch life. Wander through Camp Roosevelt’s arena, get the lowdown on livestock prep and event strategy, and scout out the perfect vantage point to catch all the action when the dust starts flying. Get to Know the Wildlife From the clash of bighorn rams during the fall rut to the haunting calls of nesting birds, The Ranch’s untamed landscape teems with life. Expect sightings of prairie dogs, deer, elk, moose, bighorn sheep, wolves, coyotes, beavers, and foxes — plus a sky full of bald and golden eagles, osprey, and hawks. Early morning and twilight are prime time for action, with strategically placed benches, docks, and Adirondack chairs offering front-row seats to the wild. For an even deeper dive, hit the trails with a guide from the Rod & Gun Club and track migration routes and local wildlife hotspots — a dream setup for photographers and hardcore wildlife enthusiasts alike. Other Activities You’re not limited to the experiences above — we can help plan whatever you’re in the mood for. Saddle up for horseback riding, cast a line fly fishing, hit the trails hiking or mountain biking, take on a ropes course, or float lazy rivers under Montana skies. Get creative with painting in nature or sharpen your skills in photography workshops and scavenger hunts. Expert guides and instructors are always on hand to level up the adventure. Ready to make this trip (or one like it) all yours?

A Lone Mountain Ranch guide leads each group through a safety and skills orientation before the axes start flying toward our wooden slab targets.   Canoeing/Paddleboarding Choose from two unforgettable paddling experiences during your stay at Lone Mountain Ranch. Take a short half-day trip to Lake Levinsky in Big Sky, or venture farther on a full-day journey to Hebgen Lake in West Yellowstone.
